Oktoberfest Fun, baby surprise

Oktoberfest - A Taste of International Village was a very special show for many reasons.  This great downtown area was blocked to traffic and instead filled up with revellers, diners, shoppers and music fans alike for this great event which is growing every year.  Poor Angus was thrilled to headline the Saturday night show and was met with a large excited crowd, eager to sing along and dance in the street.   A number of beers and encores later, the lads decided to finish the night with friends at  a nearby pub.

Soon after sitting down at the pub, fiddler Andrew Bryan received a call that his wife had gone into early and unexpected labour at her sister's house in Burlington.  Former lead singer Scott Cameron Smith quickly drove Andrew to his nearby car, and he managed to get to his wife just in time for the birth of their first child, Isla Quinn Bryan, at her sister's home.  Weighing in at only 4 pounds 3 ounces, Isla was then transported to McMaster University Health Sciences Centre for a brief stay in the neonatal intensive care unit.  Two days later, it was a flight home to Thunder Bay with mommy for an additional few weeks in hospital to be certain that everything was fine.
We are pleased to report that Isla is almost 10 pounds already and is 100% happy and healthy.  She has also already taken to the music of Stan Rogers to help her get to sleep.  Here's a shot of Isla soon after leaving hospital.
